Meet Photographer Gary Copeland
We have another wonderful photographer to share with you, the amazingly talented Gary Copeland. Gary got his start taking pictures at punk rock shows before he moved to LA. After he started using his mother’s old Nikon, he continued to hone his skills on the road while touring with bands. He has since moved on to commercial photography and has worked for clients like T-Mobile, Dickies, Reebok, and Adidas.
He recently finished a campaign with Landing, a real estate start-up, and we hope to work with him next! Read on to learn more about the great Gary Copeland.
CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR ART AND HOW YOU GOT INVOLVED WITH COMMERCIAL WORK AND PHOTOGRAPHY?
As a punk rock kid I honed my photographic skills and POV in the middle of a mosh pit. After moving to Los Angeles at 18, I soon found myself with my mom’s old Nikon film camera in hand, traveling the country touring with bands and taking photos. That was a long time ago, and after many many years on the road I eventually settled down and found myself shooting commercial photography.
